Balduccio Founders

The dream of owning their own farm brought the young Swiss agronomist Andreas März and his wife Eva to Tuscany in the 1970s. In 1979, they acquired the historic Balduccio Olive Farm in the Tuscan town of Lamporecchio, where they settled and began their new life.

The Montalbano Hill

Our estate is located on the southern slopes of Montalbano, a hill range in north-western Tuscany, between Lucca and Florence.
Montalbano has always been renowned for the quality of its olive oil. The unique vocation of this land can be experienced every autumn, when fresh scents of grass, almonds, and artichokes waft from our oil mill.
We care for our olive groves with responsibility and passion. Many of them are centuries old, featuring traditional terraces and dry-stone walls that are an integral part of this remarkable landscape.
